Garbage Disco Box

Hello!

It's been four days since i keep on getting, at least once a day this error message: "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error" . I clicked "Show me more" and it said smth about svchost.exe and netapi32.dll.

When the error occurs my dc and torrent die. Still my Firefox anf messengers work. There are times when right after the error my xp theme changes to '98 and then back to xp, but it reduces the size of the taskbar (i usually have a bigger taskbar, on two rows).

I have no idea why it happens, don't have a virus or a trojan, nor spyware, haven't istalled any new/weird program........

... and it makes me mad! I've googled but found only other desperate ppl who could not fix this

Does anyone have an idea what this thing might be? And how i could get away without having to format and reinstall everything?

Go to the Microsoft website, linked when you report the error to Microsoft. It will lead you to a critical update. When you report the error, theres a 'Tell Me More' link... Click on it and get the patch.

I had the same issue, I patched my PC and it's been fine since....

oki, thanks, i'll wait for it to gimme that annoying error again.......

well it gave me that bloody error again....... clicked on Tell me more and there was just an useless Miscrosoft page telling me why they need to collect infos about crashes and errors....... and i've been googling and found some more answers, but they were not helping me..... found even a patch but had no idea how to install it (it was contained in an archive and after i unrared it, it didn't want to work....)

so in the end, i turned on Automatic Updates, and let it download them and install them........ and restarted it a couple of times. All i have to do now is to wait and see if the problem was fixed or not...... i hope it was fixed

You could always search microsoft for the knowledge based article or patch itself.
